SANDSATIONAL RACE 2009

The Tiong Bahru CC Youth Executive Committee (YEC), in the Tanjong Pagar Group Representative Constituency (GRC), will be organising SANDSATIONAL RACE 2009 on Saturday, 23rd May 2009 at East Coast Park and Changi Beach Park from 9am to 6pm. This would be in celebration of the Singapore Youth Olympic Games 2010. The event, based on the popular “Amazing Race” television game show, promises participants a day of adventure and fun.
Targeted at youths between ages 12 and 20, SANDSATIONAL RACE 2009 is an Amazing Race-style competition on wheels which aims to promote youth sportsmanship as participants attempt both physically and mentally challenging activities at various checkpoints throughout the race. In addition, the event hopes to raise awareness for the Singapore Youth Olympic Games 2010.
This event is also supported by the Singapore Sports Council (SSC), Central Development Council (CDC), People's Association Youth Movement (PAYM) and the Singapore Youth Olympic Games (SYOG).

Additional General Information:
1) For Promotional Registration Fee Rebate, quote 'SYOG 2010' in the email.
2) Each Team consists of 5 players
3) Each Team will be given 3 single bike, 1 tandem bike. For those who cannot cycle, they may use tandem bike.
4) There will only be two top prizes given to each category namely: $300 cash vouchers & $150 cash volunteers.
5) Each member will walk away with $30 worth of goodie bag which consists of T-shirts, towel, water bottles, bike rental, sample products and many many many more.
6) Pre-race briefing venue may be changed to another location where is more convienent for all.
