Kayaking on Sat and Sun

To all J1 Odacers going for 1*kayaking:

Details:

Date: 25th and 26th April 2009

Time: 9am-4pm (for both days)

Venue: SCF Kallang Water Sports Centre, 10 Stadium Lane (397774)

Attire: comfortable clothes, shorts, shoes/sandals (must have back-strap)/booties

What to bring: water bottles, strap for spectacles (if necessary), money for lunch, waterproof pouch/container that can be carried/worn around conveniently (for putting money), hat (optional but it can get quite hot), sunblock (optional), extra change of clothes (for washing up after course),toilertries (optional)

STRICTLY NO SLIPPERS!!!

Instructions for those who do not know how to get there:

Time to meet: 8.10am (to give you time to change/waiting time for bus to arrive)

Venue: Bus-stop outside Plaza Singapura (Near Dhouby Ghaut MRT)

Brief description of how to get there:

1. from dhouby ghaut mrt, take bus 16 from the bus stop outside Plaza Singapura. Alight when bus exits nicole highway and turn into the road leading to the stadium. It is a long turn and it will pass the water sports centre (a lot of kayaks can be seen). After alighting, take a 5mins walk down to the destination

2. from kallang mrt, a walkable distance the mrt. However, you will need to find your own way there

Those who are meeting at Dhouby Ghaut, please sms/inform Sheryl by Friday. If you do not have the number, inform Ivan. It will be assumed that those who did not inform the people mentioned above are making their way there on their own.

NOTE:
1. Late comers will not be entertained.
2. Please be punctual!!!!
3. for those meeting at Dhouby Ghaut, we will be leaving at 8.10am SHARP. Late comers have to make your way there yourselves.
4. Make your way there on the second day.

To j1s and j2s who have 1* certs:

ODACers who have the certs, you can come down to kayak as well on saturday/sunday. You can rent a kayak for $20 for 2 hours. You will be required to produce your 1*cert to rent the boat. Interested ODACers please inform Sheryl latest by Friday so that the boats can be reserved. If not it will depends on the availability of the boats on the day itself.
